New rules have been implemented for cable TV and DTH, but after about 10 days, there is a condition of confusion about the tariff scheme in consumers. TRAI had not made it clear before that if the consumer has more than one connection, then how much will he have to pay for the second connection. However, now TRAI has released cleanliness in this regard. According to TRAI, the Network Capacity Fee (NCF) is not mandatory for taking a second connection or more than one connection. This was made mandatory only on the first connection. Let us tell you, the network capacity fees are those fees, which the cable operators are currently taking as a fixed charge of Rs. 130.

Discount on second connection
By releasing a press release, TRAI has clarified that for the initial 100 SD channels, network capacity fees have been fixed at maximum 130 rupees. Apart from this, charging 25 extra channels will have to be charged separately. The regulator made it clear that they have not stopped the service provider to give discounts for the second or multiple connections. However, if discount is being given then it should be similar to that place. However, this information will be provided on the website.

Separate set-top boxes in the same house
TRAI recently asked the TV operators to return to the plan to provide special schemes and plans for those who hold many TV connections. TRAI had clarified that if the consumers want the operator can set different set-top boxes within the same house.

So far nine crore people have chosen the new system
Telecom Regulator TRAI says that out of the total 17 crore cable TVs and DTH customers have come to the new duty system by selecting their favorite channels. TRAI is constantly monitoring the situation for consumers to avoid any problem. Hopefully the rest of the people will also choose their favorite channels soon. The 9 million customers who have chosen their favorite channels have 6.5 million cable TV subscribers and 2.5 DTH subscribers.

Will be reduced in the next three months
The new rule is expected to reduce cable and DTH pricing. La carte channel system was implemented so that customers only pay for the channels they want to see. However, most consumers believe that this rule increases their monthly bill rather than decreasing. At the same time, TRAI believes that the cost of DTH will be reduced in the next three months. Because, most channels may have lower prices.

Can change your pack anytime
TRAI also clarified that consumers have the right to ever change their pack. If he wants to delete or add a channel after watching a month's TV then he can contact his cable or DTH operator at any time. TRAI has also instructed DTH companies to issue call centers and helpline numbers.
